Route: Srinagar – Pahalgam – Chandanwari – Sheshnag – Panchtarni – Holy Cave – Baltal – Srinagar

The traditional Pahalgam–Chandanwari route is the most scenic and spiritually significant route to the Holy Cave. It involves gradual altitude gain and usually takes 3–5 days to complete.

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar – Pahalgam

Upon arrival in Srinagar, proceed to Pahalgam (approx. 95 km / 3–4 hrs). Check in to hotel/camp and complete Yatra preparations. Evening free for acclimatization and local exploration. Overnight: Pahalgam

Day 2: Pahalgam – Chandanwari – Sheshnag

After early breakfast, drive to Chandanwari (16 km). Begin trek towards Sheshnag via Pissu Top. Enjoy breathtaking Himalayan landscapes throughout the journey. Trek: Approx. 12–14 km Overnight: Sheshnag Camp

Day 3: Sheshnag – Panchtarni

After breakfast, trek across Mahagunas Pass and descend to Panchtarni, one of the most beautiful camps on the route. Trek: Approx. 13–14 km Overnight: Panchtarni Camp

Day 4: Panchtarni – Holy Cave Darshan – Baltal – Srinagar

Early morning trek to the Holy Amarnath Cave for darshan. After darshan, continue towards Baltal via the shorter return route. Meet vehicle at Baltal and drive to Srinagar. Trek: Approx. 20 km (Cave–Baltal) Drive: Baltal to Srinagar (approx. 3 hrs) Overnight: Srinagar

Day 5: Departure from Srinagar

After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar Airport for onward journey with blessings of Baba Barfani.
